Training

A core aspect of Centre activity is its training programme. Postgraduate researchers (PGRs) of colour will have access to expert training in professional skills development, career progression and anti-racist praxis.

New Fellowship Scheme

We have recently launched a new Fellowship Scheme for PGRs of colour. This  acknowledges the time and effort PGRs spend on extracurricular activities within the Centre, while supporting career progression.

The Fellowship scheme has been designed to map onto the Training Needs Analysis (TNA) framework, which is compulsory for all PGRs at the University of Sheffield to complete as part of their Doctoral Development Programme (DDP). The application process will develop PGR reflective skills and the award can be used to showcase key skills in a CV.

There are three distinct fellowship tiers: Fellowship, Associate Fellowship and Certificate of Attendance. You must fulfil certain criteria to be eligible for each tier. There will be three distinct application windows across the academic year.

For more information on the scheme and how to apply, see below.
